girls like Daria

Awfully glad to be unhappy.

People tend to hate me, 'cause I never smile. I'm not really a smiley person. As a kid I identified most with characters like the Grinch, Charlie Brown, and Oscar the Grouch. I don't smile very much. The odd thing about this "problem" is that is seems to bug everyone else more than it bugs me. Random people are always saying to me "Smile" and people go out of their ways to cheer me up...when I'm not even sad. It is all just because I am not a smiley person. I guess you could say I am the "anti-perky". I've got the personality and monotone voice of Daria. I loved that show in the 90's! It was the first time my personality type ever became cool. Daria made my lack of smile and deep voice for a girl hip. I'm glad everyone finally came around to my way of thinking. Now I bet you are asking yourself 'Well do you smile at all?' Of course I do, but not all the time like an Evangelical Christian or Highschool Cheerleader. That just isn't me!

Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely no optimist. I am critical of modern music and film and I hate my generation. If you ask me, there are too many people on this Earth and we need another plague. I like alternative guys, the color black, and my parents thought I was Satanic when all I was was Liberal. I hate stupid people, or "sheeple" rather. I always liked my monotone voice and sense of humor, and now it's cool. I know and have met a lot of other girls like Daria and I think we are in the awesome minority!
